This Review and Practice exercise is an opportunity for you to test your understanding of what you have studied in Chapter 10: Final -ed.
Remember the student essay on karate whose opening and closing paragraphs you worked with at the beginning of this chapter. The writer of this essay used the simple past tense to establish the time of the events, and -ed endings appeared on verbs and past participles wherever they were needed. The two paragraphs belowwhich will appear when you click the "paragraphs" buttonare from the same essay, but their -ed endings have been removed. Put them back where they belong. (Double-click on the word that needs a new ending and rewrite it, in ALL CAPS, with its -ed ending, so that it stands out from the rest of the text.)
