Completers: Writing Sheldon Mitchell: 1 November 1996 When I walked into the room, the FIRST thing I noticed was the [voices] of the DIFFERENT people talking to each other -- correction, it's more like humming. That day, there were only a FEW people there. While sitting there, I could hear the [rumbling] of the air conditioner. I looked up and noticed FOUR [fans], ELEVEN [lights] and SIX [vents] in the ceiling. There's also a [television] hanging on one of the columns in this room. EACH column, excluding one, had a GARBAGE [bin] beside it and on one of them was a WHITE pail. Above, almost to the sides, the flags of DIFFERENT countries are hanging from the roof. I also noticed very VISIBLE [piping] in the corner of the ceiling leading to the cooking area. In CLOSE proximity to the pipes were SIX pictures where there are NO flags and a LARGE clock between the pictures. The WATER fountain, I couldn't believe I had overlooked it, especially since I was sitting about FIVE feet away from it. As I looked across the room I saw the EIGHT VENDING [machines] and heard the CASH [register] ringing behind me, and last but not least the TWO [microwaves] sitting between the VENDING machines.
