Instructional Support Services to Enhance the
Teaching & Learning Process at Capital.
Academic Media Technology designs, maintains, and administers the classroom
audio-visual presentation systems at Capital. Each room features presentation
equipment that allows instructors and students to incorporate many different
types of materials into a rich, multimedia learning experience.
Online Learning with Blackboard Learn
AMT staff provide Blackboard training and support to faculty that adheres to online learning
"best practices" in education. We also offer support to students who are having technical
difficulties, to ensure they are able to stay on track with their courses.
Multimedia Design for Instruction
AMT's Digital Media Center and staff provide professional production of
multimedia projects for college faculty and academic programs, ensuring high-quality
multimedia creation that supports the instructional goals of the College.
SeeItNow Online Media
Instructional videos produced by the AMT department may be delivered through online
video streaming, making it easy for faculty to incorporate these materials into classroom
instruction or online teaching.

The AMT production facility also serves as a broadcast-quality academic learning lab
for students majoring in Communication Media.
Develop your creativity and learn about the high-tech world of communication media
through hands-on courses using our state-of-the-art Media Labs.
Gain practical, on-the-job experience in a required media internship. Placements
include WFSB-TV3, WUVN-TV18 (Univision), Analeh Productions, CT-N, Connecticut
Public Broadcasting, Hartford Public Access TV, Clear Channel Communications,
As a Communication graduate, you'll be prepared for entry-level employment
in broadcasting, photography, media production, and journalism, or for transfer to a
university where you can continue your studies for a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree.
