Math and Sciences Department

Our Math Works Project and the Mathematics Explorations Websites, developed with grant assistance from the National Science Foundation, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and the American Mathematics Association for Two-Year Colleges, uses real-life situations from the world of space exploration to develop interesting math problems - from arithmetic to advanced calculus. The Math Center - where Capital students go when they have trouble with math courses - has become a vital part of life at our college.
