Emergency Management Response
This program is intended for emergency medical technicians and teaches the science of planning for, responding to, and recovering from disasters.

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, graduates will be able to:
- Understand the concepts of emergency management as it relates to an integrated approach to specific disasters
- Identify hazards specific to their own environment
- Discuss Federal authority and State authority and rights
- Identify three branches of government and the integration of such branches at the disaster level
- Discuss the process of the Incident Command System
- Understand the concepts of the Emergency Operations Center as it relates to an integrated approach to disasters
- Discuss the integration of Fire and Federal government responses
- Discuss the subtleties of the environment as it relates to disaster preparedness
- Develop a risk analysis outline specific to communities of interest
- Plan approaches to incidents such as Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terrorism as it relates to communities of interest
