Certificate Programs
Computer Programming, Accelerated
In addition to the semester-based certificate programs, the Computer Programming Certificate is offered as an accelerated program, allowing the student to complete the certificate in a much shorter period of time. The accelerated certificate is designed for highly-motivated adults who want to advance in their present job or to change careers. Applicants must satisfy the College admissions requirements.

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of computers and computer nomenclature and why they are essential components in business and society
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully code, compile, execute, and debug programs in various programming languages
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic programming and logic, through the use of Flow charts and pseudocode
- Differentiate and apply the concepts of structured and unstructured programming
- Demonstrate programming skills with Object Orientated and fourth generation programming languages
- Demonstrate the ability to use software tools for program development.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of relational databases and concepts, including, design, creation, and data manipulation
