ConnCAS: Connecticut College Acccess and Success
A program designed for incoming students who are under-prepared
for the challenges of college.
In addition to building confidence and establishing new friendships students will:
- Receive individual academic counseling and referral services.
- Develop personalized Educational Plans.
- Receive Transfer Admissions and Financial Aid Advisement.
- Benefit from peer mentoring, planned trips and cultural activities.
Participants must be:
- High School or GED graduates attending Capital in the fall.
- Low income and/or first generation college student.
The program kicks off this summer with the summer bridge program which
includes free college courses, tutoring, books, supplies, transportation and trips.
MetLife Academy of Success
A year-long tuition-free college-preparatory program, designed to ease the
transition of rising high school seniors into college.
Throughout the program students:
- Receive assistance with the financial aid and admissions
processes for college
- Build mentoring relationships.
- Receive study skills training and tutoring.
- Participate in college visits, trips and cultural activities.
- Earn NINE College credits.
