This Review and Practice exercise is an opportunity for you to test your understanding of what you have studied in Chapter 11: Final -s.
Some words have a final -s built right into their spelling. Others add final -s only in specific situations.
In the space provided after each sentence, write every word that has an -s ending. Separate the -s endings with a comma and a space. Put an asterisk (*) immediately after the words on which the -s is added.
1. This shopping mall shows a lot of class.



2. Very few of the stores make a fuss when you return items that don't fit your kids.



3. Don't miss the big sales that the mall sponsors during the two weeks before Thanksgiving.



4. My favorite dress shop faces the fountain near the escalators.



5. Across from the doughnut counters, Santa Claus sets up his throne each year.
